About Our Founder…

Brittney C. Howard is an attorney, mediator, workplace investigator, trainer, and law professor based in Northeast Ohio. Her alternative dispute resolution efforts focus primarily on workplace conflict and disputes, with an emphasis on leadership and individual accountability in conflict. She has extensive experience in labor contract negotiations, mediation, and arbitration. She teaches mediation at the University of Akron School of Law, and she teaches Labor Relations and Dealing with Difficult People in the Workplace for Cleveland State University’s Public Management Academy.

She has volunteered for organizations such as Minds Matter Cleveland (serving as a mentor and Vice President of Student Affairs) and the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland and was a participant in the Cleveland Leadership Center’s Civic Leadership Institute fall 2022 cohort.

She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Ohio University and obtained her Juris Doctorate from Cleveland State University - College of Law. She has also earned certificates in Negotiation Mastery and Disruptive Strategy from Harvard Business School Online, as well as a certificate in Conflict Resolution from Cornell University. Brittney believes in continuous personal growth and leading an integrated life, and she carries this perspective into her work as she seeks to innovate in the space of conflict resolution.

Her passion is helping leaders reshape their approach to conflict, and she’s committed to seeing a total transformation of conflict culture.
